Reading Homework - 9/25/2012:  Read pages 255-260 in your basal reading reader.  Do not forget reading and spelling test on Friday.  First book report on the "Great Wall" is due on Friday, September 28, 2012.

English: 9/25/2012:  No homework,  if you have a rewrite on your 5-paragraph essay from Monday, that is due.

Do not forget letter to parent signed on you English and reading book.

Reading/Writing Classwork 9/24/12:  Students worked on generalization chart in class and read basal reader through page 254.  Homework:  Reading practice book pages 197 & 198 answers only in your reading notebook.  Simple Solutions pages 4 & 5 answers only in your writing notebook.  Students have been given extra credit to write a letter to parents stating where they are safely keeping their copies of reading and English book at home.  Need to have parents signature.

Notifications:  There will be a reading and spelling test on Friday, September 28, 2012

Do not forget your first book report on "The Great Wall," is due on Friday, September 28, 2012.

Classwork and Homework September 20, 2012

Classwork and Homeowrk for September 20, 2012:

Students worked on finishing their vocabulary organizer using six words this week.  Students are to finish own definition and sentence using context clue and underline.  Vocabulary is due on Friday, September 21, 2012.

Students are finishing final essay on Hale School's Mission Statement.  Final draft is due on Friday, September 21, 2012.

Student September 10, 2012

September 10, 2012:  I am so sorry that all of your are not back to class yet.   Most of you should have your reading book at home and it would be great if you would read the first story in your Basal, ""Where the Red Fern Grows."

Students will be able to keep a reading book and English book at their house to use and not have to drag the books back and forth.  We were fortunate enough to have enough books to keep one entire set in the classroom.  Students are responsible to return their book at the end of the school year.  Each student has a label inside with their name on it.

I hope we are together soon and looking forward to working with all of you.
