Language Arts:  11/14/2012:  No homework. 

Students viewed video on the novel "Pinballs" they have been reading.  Students will begin working on their perforance assessment over the next wo days.  The performance assessment is on the statement:

"In the text, "Pinballs," determine who has changed significatnly, and how the character reached these changes (be specific). 

Students will have the opportunity to correct their final draft after it is corrected.  The assessment is worth 36 points and it will be a reading and writing grade.

Next book report is due November 29th.  The story is in your basal reader, page 116H "Making A Difference."  Make sure you follow format I have on the board.

Student September 10, 2012

September 10, 2012:  I am so sorry that all of your are not back to class yet.   Most of you should have your reading book at home and it would be great if you would read the first story in your Basal, ""Where the Red Fern Grows."

Students will be able to keep a reading book and English book at their house to use and not have to drag the books back and forth.  We were fortunate enough to have enough books to keep one entire set in the classroom.  Students are responsible to return their book at the end of the school year.  Each student has a label inside with their name on it.

I hope we are together soon and looking forward to working with all of you.

Social Studies, April 17, 2012:  Students are completing cause and effect for Geography of India, page 177-181 and write two text coding strategies for the three subtitles.  Write the subtitle and write out text coding.:)

Science:  April 16, 2012:  Students were given an assignment on Earth's Plates.  This will be due on Friday, April 20, 2012.  Students will use their workbooks pages 160 & 161 and answer the questions "What part pf Earth's moving plaates make up the lithosphere.  Students will provide evidence, and write in their own explanation.  In addition, students will draw diagam of Earth's moving plates, outline label and show arrows in red. :)
