Classwork, Homework and Notifications 10/26/2012

Language Arts: October 26, 2012 - Students should have picked a story they would like to read for their next book report due 11/6/2012.  Reading test on Monday. Students need to study this week's vocabulary words. 

Some students are struggling turning in 5-paragraph essay and creative writing project. 

First quarter is over on 11/8/2012 and Tuesday, Noveber 13, 2012 will be report card pick.  We want all the students to succeed and get all their assignments in and do their best.

Notifications, Classwork and Homework 10/24/2012

Language Arts: 10/24/12 -  Complete final draft of your argumentative 5-paragraph essay.  Make sure you staple your graphic organizer and your rough draft with your final draft.  Look over your vocabulary graphic organizer, make sure it is completed and study the definitions.

Book Report is due November 6, 2012.  Make sure you show me the book you will be reading by Friday, October 26, 2012.  You may choose a story from the basal reader. 

If you h ave not turned in your creative writing project, make sure you finish it and turn it in.

Language Arts:  Complete pages 13 & 14 in your Simple Solution book.  Finish rough draft on "The Pinballs."  We will work on final draft on Wednesday.  If you do not finish, final draft will be due on Thursday.  Make sure you turn in graphic organizer, rough draft and final draft together.

Language Arts:  October 9, 2012:  English test tomorrow....make sure you study for sections 1-5.  Complete sentences 1 & 2 on pages 73-77.  Also, you may write out reminder notes on that page to help you with the test.  

Next book report will be due on Thursday, October 18, 2012.  Make sure you follow format I have given you.  "A Kind of Grace," page 457 in your Basal reader.

Student have been assigned a creative writing project.  This project will be due on October 22, 2012.

Monday, October 8, 2012:  Students took NWEA test today.  Students have been assigned new book report that will be due on Thursday, October 18, 2012.  Story is in the Basal reader.  Students will get the story name and pages tomorrow.

Triangles have homework on page 39, #9-20.  Write out sentence and circle simple subject and predicate.

English test Wednesday on sections 1-5.  We will review on Tuesday.

Half day on Wednesday.  Dismissal at 11:15.

Octagons are also reading pages 277-281 in their reading book and completing PB page 216 question # 2.
