May 29, 2014: Classwork, Homework and Notifications

May 29, 2014:  Language Arts.  Students did a journal entry on next year's expectations in 7th grade.  Students worked on pages 232 and 233 in Simple Solutions.  Students worked in groups and read chapters 6 & 7 in the novel, "The Watsons..."  Students discussed comprehension questions  Collected journals today.

No Homework:

Tomorrow is the walk-a-thon and picnic.  Please dress in appropriate spirit clothes and bring water.  Pray for no rain next Friday.  That is the day of our field trip.

May 28, 2014: Classwork, Homework and Notifications

May 28, 2014:  Language Arts.  Students wrote a vocabulary story using this week's vocabulary words.  Students worked on Simple Solutions pages 230 & 231.  Students read chapter 5 & 6 and answered comprehension questions using R.A.C.E.

Homework:

•  Vocabulary story if you did not finish
• Collecting Journals on Thursday

Walk-a-thon is on Friday.  Dress in spirit clothes and bring water bottle.  Make sure you bring  your permission slip and money.  Field trip form due Friday for June 6, 2014 trip. :)  Bring back your progress report.

May 27, 2014:  Language Arts:  Students entered a journal entry on what they would do in the school if they were locked in for the weekend.  Students completed Simple Solutions lesson 114.  Students completed graphic organizer on this week's vocabulary words.  Students began reading chapter 5, The Watsons Go to Birmingham...

• Complete vocabulary graphic organizer
• Collecting journals on Thursday, May 29, 2014

May 5, 2014:  Language Arts.  Students presented their Research Book Report Projects today, and did a wonderful job.

Homework:

•  Study vocabulary for comprehension test on "The Watsons Go to Birmingham--1963)  (room 212 & 213)
• Room 112 Will be taking the NWEA Reading test at 8:00 in the morning.  Make sure you get a good night sleep and eat a good breakfast. :

May 1, 2014:  Language Arts:  Students worked on Simple Solutions pages 202 & 203 in class.  Students entered a vocabulary entry in their journal.  Students read chapter one and two in the novel "The Watsons Go to Birmingham-1963.  Students reviewed vocabulary for upcoming test next Tuesday or Wednesday.

Research/book report due today.  Students will be presenting their project on Monday for a speaking grade.

Students have been doing a great job on their NWEA test.  All of you should be proud.

Room 112 will be taking their NWEA test on Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at 8:00.  We all wish them luck.

Homework:

• No homework
• Make sure you review your vocabulary words
