Homework Week 1 & 2

NWEA TESTING FOR SIXTH GRADE 09/15/2011
Open House Wednesday, September 21, 2011 6:00 to 8:00

Homework/Classwork:  September 14, 2011
Students worked on science lab using the steps of scientific method.  Students began creating a foldable (organize their notes for section 1).  This will be due at the end of class on Friday.

Homework/Classwork:  September 13, 2011
Students wokred on map of the world.  This will be due completed on Thursday, September 15, 2011.  Students were told to label the oceans, continents and at least 5 countries for each contienent if it applies.  Students are also suppose to color the entire map.  Students can use their social studies textbook pages A23 & A24 or the Internet.  Thank you!


Homework/Classwork:  September 12, 2011
Students will finish their comic strip on safety lab rules and lab symbols at home.  Students will have until Wednesday, September 14, 2011 to complete.  Thank you.

Homework/Classwork:  September 9, 2011
Students have begun working on a comic strip project on lab rules and lab symbols.  Students will be working on this duriing class on Monday.  If the student does not finish, they will have to finish for homework and turn in no later than Wednesday, September 14, 2011.  Students have been given a rubric to follow along with all the resources needed to finish. :)


Homework:  September 8, 2011:
Students have been discussing and viewing short videos to commemorate the anniversary of  9/11.  Students are now brainstorming an idea how we can give back to the community (neighborhood).  What do you see you would like to contribute change, etc. in the community.  Students will be discussing this for the next week and make a decision.  Good Luck :)

Homework:  September 7, 2011:
Extra Credit:  On a notecard, identify the three variables you use when conducting experiment.  You will get additional points if you tell me what each one means.

Extra Credit:  Have your parent email me and you will get extra credit in science class. :)

Parent have homework this time.  Please complete all the forms in the brown packet and sign the inside last page on the student code of conduct book. Thank you so much for your cooperation.  :)

Students are responsible for covering al their books by Friday, September 9, 2011.
